An Apology

Hi guys!!
Please accept my apologies for my long absence! Drama, drama and more drama! My boss may have prostate cancer he had tests the week of June 14 and was given medication before his July 13 biopsy. Last Tuesday June 22 he was rushed to hospital in Nashville with chest pains. Last Friday he had quadruple bypass surgery and nearly didn't make it. However, he is now at home and although still weak is beginning to do better. we are trying to get a new business up and running and dealing with some other "issues". I am hopefully going to be back blogging for good. I have some cute new clothes to share with you!!! Ciao for now.

the last few weeks have been crazy. Hubby had to have shoulder surgery, then he had a blowout on the interstate. Crazy couple of weeks!

I haven't posted for a while. the last few weeks have been crazy! My sister kate went into labor and gave birth by emergency c section to a little boy named Felix. we very nearly lost both of them as the placenta came away when her water broke. Felix swallowed a lot of blood on the way out. If my sister had been at home neither her of the baby would have made it. Kate is now at home and Felix should be home in the next week or so. Both are doing well.

Chunkee Munkee went missing and we found him dead last week. We are both devastated by his loss (DH especially). We are having him cremated and his remains returned to us, which should be in the next few days.

We adopted a cat from the animal shelter. His name is Chunkee Chops, 18 months old and 16 lbs, we are working on his weight as we speak. he likes to nibble our hands when he wants attention.

Today I had a dental appointment. Call me strange but I like going to the dentist. I have been going on a regular basis ever since I was 2 years of age! If you're a fan of Rachel Zoe, then you probably watch her show every Tuesday night. I was happily watching last night when my husband arrived home (he had a football game which is why he was late). RIP Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze died today at the age of 57 after a valiant fight with cancer. Part of me really thought he would pull through and beat this awful disease. I was a little surprised when he passed away today, he looked a little better a few weeks ago, stronger. He must have gone downhill rapidly, a sad day for all Patrick Swayze fans. I remember wanting to be Baby in Dirty Dancing, I wanted to be Johnny Castle's girl, and grind and bump with him...never mind that I was only 14 or 15. You will be missed. Rest In Peace, Sir.

No fashion post today... boy am I a slacker. Anyway I am looking for a new job. Something happened on Monday that made me so mad and made me cry, which never happens I almost quit on the spot. I told my husband and he is furious, and I mean FURIOUS!!!! I had to stop him from coming down to my office. Someone pushed me too far and everyone has their limit. I met mine going at 150 mph into a brick wall (metaphorically speaking). If I get this job and my boss asks why I have given in my notice I know exactly what to say.

I don't want to say too much about the job I have applied for, let's just say I have everything crossed. I am hoping to hear from them in the next few days. Keep all of your extremities crossed for me ladies!!

Before taking this photo I did not realize how high my boobies were. That's some cleavage! Anyway this has nothing to do with the title of this post. Last night while dozing off to sleep my husband's cat Chunkee Munkee comes up to me and starts chattering. He then puts his paw into my mouth (I shit you not). This of course woke me up spluttering. He was sitting looking at me so I began to pet him, much to his delight. Then guess what, he stuck a claw up my left nostril! I think he may be a little psycho. My husband thinks it's endearing. This is because he didn't get a whole paw shoved in his mouth as though fishing for something, or a claw up his nostril as though fishing for something (OK that was gross, I know). All I could think of was he buries his poo with those paws...eww!

Today I stopped to fill my car with gas. There was a guy next to me filling his car with...wait for it, a Transformers tattoo on the back of his right calf. Who does that? I mean what about when he's 70 years old? It won't be a transformer it'll be a decrepid-former. Some people astound me. I had one final look while driving away and shaking my head. I could be getting old. I would have thought that tattoo was cool...when I was 12. As I was driving away dear readers and while he was filling his SUV with gas he lit up a cigarette. I didn't hear anything about a gas station exploding though so this "person" is still alive and able to pro-create...great. Welcome to the Deep South.

I am not at work today, my back is still very very sore and I am having trouble walking. Great for a girl that loves to wear heels. Feeling a bit down in the dumps I have just ordered the above on ideeli.com. I love online shopping!! ha ha ha.

This morning I steam cleaned our living room carpet. Husband likes to traipse through our living room wearing his shoes. Usually he is heading straight for the refrigerator.

The carpet looks great, being a cream color it gets dirty easily. Anyhow those of you who read this blog know that I have Degenerative Disc Disease, which basically means that the discs between my spine are very thin/non-existant due to a horse riding accident I had in which I broke my back. I am sitting here on the couch drugged up, yet still in a little pain after triggering a horrible spasming making me cry attack (I can't even stand up straight). Yes Girls there will be no heels for me tomorrow and maybe no work. Husband iced my back down and kept saying funny things to make me laugh, which did not help me in the slightest. Laughing and wincing in pain is not funny!

Anyway I am waiting for him to bring me an m&m treat from Sonic to ease my pain! Oh yes I forgot to mention I have period pains too. Great!!

Boss: "I fixed your old one." (grinning)

Me: "Whatever." (stomping out of his office)

So I reinstall the internet, and what happens it freezes. G** Damn STUPID COMPUTER!

Yells to boss "What's wrong with my computer?" Boss comes out of his office. "Oh yeah it's f*****d" What, what, WHAT!!?! "Yep going to have to get you a new one. Do you have your files back up?" (Of course I do). Anyway, no computer, and NO Internet!! bugger, bugger, BUGGER!! So today was bitter sweet.

So dear boss, if you ever read this blog, which I doubt you do being fashionably challenged. I expect a shiny new computer tomorrow with internet! Wrapped in a bow! (like that's going to happen) I'll probably end up schlepping to the store, bringing it to the office, and setting up myself.

No photo in today's post. The reason for this is I had to wear stupid flats. As of tomorrow ladies I am back in my heels. I don't like flats, except on very rare occasions. I am a heel chick, I am a city girl and I am moody and irritable. It's bad enough not being able to run, but taking away my heels is tantamount to abuse.

So, my dear Dr. I am done, I cannot cope with looking at all my gorgeous shoes and not being able to wear them . I shall walk in to work tomorrow defeated and deflated (not) that I cannot wear flats anymore. I will look FABULOUS! I will be in a better mood, and my co-workers will not run for cover, or cower in the corner when they hear me stomping towards them. I will feel girly and sexy and not frumpy. I will strut around just as a model struts on a runway. I shall sashay down the hallway, I shall sit with my legs crossed at the ankles in a lady like manner. Me: I'm good. (Stupid question).

Doc: I see here you are having some problems with your leg.

Me: Yep. I hurt it running.

Doc: Can you show me where it hurts?

Me: (Standing Up) Right here, points to thigh about 4 inches down from groin.

Doc: Does it hurt when sitting or lying down?

Me: Nope, only when I put pressure on it.

Doc: Any swelling, bruising, lumps?

Me: Nope

Doc: OK let's have you up on the table, lie down and let me examine your leg.

Me: (Hops up on table, well clambers)

Doc: Does this hurt? (pressing where it hurts)

Me: OW!! Yes! (I told him that's where it hurts WTF?)

Doc: You've torn a muscle. No running for 4 weeks.

Doc: (Eyes gorgeous high heels) And no wearing heels for 4 weeks.

Me: Wha??? (blank stare and lots of blinking)

Doc: You're throwing your balance off and it will heal slower.

Me: And slower isn't good?

Doc: No, and neither is more pain. You need to ice and heat it and take it easy, and i'll email an RX to your pharmacy for some anti-inflammatories. (Email my RX fancy pants!)

Me: K. (Sulking like a small child)

Doc: Come and see me if it gets any worse. And stay off those heels!

Me: (Already stomping halfway down hallway muttering Ow, ow, ow ,ow like a mad woman as best I can so I don't answer).

I knew he would do that, not to mention he's all hi-tech now wheeling around a lap top on a stand like some kind of old person. Oh and he types with one finger too, which is REALLY annoying because my appointment should have taken half as long as it did, I almost pushed him off of his stool and asked him to dictate. He also looks down a lot, if only I had kept my feet tucked under me and slipped off my shoes while he examined my leg (hits self in forehead with palm). Stupid, Stupid girl! Oh and at the rate he types I'll get my RX sometime next week. In fact he's probably still typing as we speak.

As you may remember reading a few posts ago I run every night, correction (did) run every night. Last week I twisted my ankle and today I have a horrible pain in my thigh. Of course this is made worse by wearing heels. Anyway to cut a long story short I called the nurse at BCBS, one of these things where they advise you. Fat lot of help she was. Scared me half to death by saying I may have a blood clot, and that I may need to call 911.

I am not paying for a ride in an ambulance (there are better places to spend my money!), I'll get hubby to drive me. (I have to arrive in something cute, an ambulance is not cute although some of the EMTs are). Anyway I have an appointment with my Dr tomorrow morning, he's a no nonsense kind of guy and we get on well. I am of course going to wear my usual killer heels and if tells me that I have to wear flats for a while then I will become one batshit crazy lady who will have to be sedated with horse tranquilizer shot into my neck through a blow dart, and even then that may not be enough to sedate me. Hell hath no fury like a woman parted from her heels (aka me).

I am currently walking around muttering OW, OW, OW!! don't cry, don't cry, the pain really is THAT bad, not so bad that I want to wear flats though. Some retail therapy may be in order after an appointment that is sure to turn me into little miss pissy pants.

This is Isabelle. She's 4 years old and is a little Chunky. Currently on a diet she hates both me and my husband. She's not very bright (think Scrat from Ice Age). When you walk up to her she falls over just like the goats that freeze and fall over when they are surprised. Her nicknames include Izzie, Baby, Princess, Baby Girl, Chunky One and Fattie :( (husband not me) and Beautiful Girl. She is also very vocal and will coo and meow when you talk to her. Her mommy loves her...Yes I do.

This is Chunkee Munkee he is our 7 year old and big brother to Isabelle. He is athletic, smart and loves my husband more than anything in the world. his nicknames include Munkee, Chunkster, Baby Boy, Da Munkee. The marks on his nose are freckles, he has them inside his mouth too. I once tried to scrub them off, thinking it was dirt...not so much.

I know I have been out of the loop for almost two weeks but I have had some issues. I finally received all the parts I need for my a/c in my car. It's booked in for Wednesday, and will cost $350.00 to fix. This includes taxes and labor. It bloody well better. I could have bought a really nice top or two for the money this is costing me. I have to admit though I will enjoy not having to drive around with melting make up and sweat between my boobies TMI I know. The downside is I will miss driving my husband's gorgeous Audi TT convertible. I don't care that he wants it back! Call me an attention whore, I don't care. No I really don't! I am pretty spoilt though as I drove I VW GTI, quite a peppy little car I will admit, and they are few and far between just like husband's car.

Is it wrong that I am also sitting here shovelling m&m's into my mouth? I don't care about that either. Yes I am wearing my bitchy pants! On another note my boss was bitten yesterday not once, but four, FOUR! times by a brown recluse...nooooooo! Noooo It's almost payday!! I want to whine and pound my fists and generally behave like a brat.

Today was a little different from usual. How? I hear you ask. I spent my morning ironing, yes ironing. There is a new store opening a few doors down from us in the same building. A consignment store selling labels such as American Eagle, Abercrombie, Express etc. I saw the owner ironing and offered to help as she opens on Saturday and has piles of ironing to do. I stayed a couple of hours and helped her. I never thought I would go to work and iron!!!
